Me and my photographer had a blast doing this shoot (Thanks TT)! We took a ride down to the local farm stand and did some walking shots in between the rows of beautiful fall colored mums and picturesque apple trees. The weather was perfect and my outfit was super fall looking. This knit top came from Nordstrom last year. It is one of my favorite tops, but the quality of it is very poor. I have a very hard time not putting holes in it every time I wear it, and not to mention the fact that I cannot wear a necklace with it cause it will get caught! Finally getting to the point of wearing my knee-high boots again too… and these just might be my favorite ones!
I don’t think I talk often about my bracelets, so today I have a few words! I like to wear lots of bracelets together at a time, and this outfit was perfect for that since I couldn’t wear a necklace (have to pile on the femininity somewhere!!). I am totally digging Alex and Ani Bracelets. They are the hottest thing right now, and have completely overtaken New England. If you live outside of here, you may want to stock up when you visit, cause they will make it to your town eventually and will be an instant hit. This way you can be the cool girl who had one (or 5) before everyone else 😉 They can be found at the Paper Store, some jewelry stores and online at their site (link below).
July 1st! I can’t believe how fast this summer is going by. This is my second look with this maxi skirt, the first one is here. I really love how easy this skirt is to wear. A maxi always looks styled, even if you just pair it with a cute tank top or button up chambray (totally “in” right now over dresses and skirts!!). The vest that I suggested below from Nordstrom is adorable (I actually like it better than mine), perfect for adding a little something edgy to your look. Lighter pieces for layering are always popular, but are especially good for the summertime to add some style to your look. With a vest like that, all you have to add is a plain tank underneath, skinny jeans, heels and voila – you have an easy, put together, stylish look! Get on your layers ladies!!
I have tried on a lot of Peplum-style tops because I love the look of them, but none of them ever seemed to be very flattering on me so when I found this one I was pumped! I got this one on my birthday from TJMaxx, one of my top favorite places to shop! The style is all over the place this summer, they are everywhere you look and shop. They are very cute, but can also be very tricky. The style is very short compared to some of the longer-bodied styles that have been on trend as of lately, and the shape of it really gives you an exaggerated hourglass figure if you are up for it. It does draw attention your waist and hips, so if you have wider hips already, you may want to stay away from adding additional fabric and attention to them. Because it comes in so tightly at the waist, that should give you a little more definition there to add a little more woman to your shape. I have a few cute options listed below of styles I liked, but do keep in mind, these tops are not for everyone, I had a hard time finding one that worked with my body-type.
This blouse came from H&M last year, simple, but I like it! Love Polka dots, and they are pretty popular this year on bottoms. I picked up these boots just last week on clearance at DSW, with 70% off and then combined with 2 $10 coupons, I scored them for just $9!!!!! PUMPED! I have the hardest time finding sunglasses that fit my tiny head! These are actually boys glasses from the Gap! I always have to buy kiddie glasses, but they look normal on me! Thanks for reading!
Love this sweater! I got it last year from Nordstrom. This piece is very boho-chic to me and I do feel a little like a hippie when I wear this (in a good way!). The crooked hemline on this sweater (longer on the sides, shorter in the middle) is called a “Scarf Hem”, to keep you up to date with the style lingo! Sweaters with patterns are very easy, just pair with a simple pant and light jewelry for a casual, yet chic look! My only complaint for this piece is that the fabric is very thin and has a few small holes 😦
