A lot of blogs have been doing looks that consist of chic black and white looks. Inspired, I pulled together this outfit from items I already owned. The tank is from JCPenney last year, very simple and casual, but worked perfectly with this look. I scoured the interwebs to find a bunch of other cute black and white tank top options if you are interested in trying this look on your own! Check you closet first though, cause you may already own a nice top you could pair with white pants to recreate this look in your own way! Make sure to add a nice pop color into your look – it is super trendy and cute, and perfect for the warmer summer months. Sometimes you can work in a few pop colors, like I did here with the necklace and clutch. Hope everyone tried this look out, it is very chic and kind of fun! Happy hunting, and have a great weekend!

I just picked up this skirt a few weeks ago. It is very basic and inexpensive, but I want to try to get more skirts into my wardrobe, and cheaper is always better! I actually am loving how this outfit turned out! The tank is a little long, but if tucked in (or shrank a little in the washing machine) it should be okay. The shoes were the most expensive part of the outfit actually, everything else was either found on clearance or just really inexpensive… You just have to be willing to look for the deals! This is one of those feel good outfits 🙂

Hope everyone has a great long Memorial Day weekend!

This outfit looked very nautical to me, but then again I am wearing boat shoes! The dress I got from H&M last year for just $8, and they have the same one this year, probably because it is a pretty basic piece. The Cardigan came from the company I work for, it’s a development sample, and it just so happens that most of our samples fit me (good perk)! I work for the Company listed below, ’47 Brand, they sell licensed sports apparel and every now and then we get a few blank samples, which I (not being a sports fan), love! The company is most recently known for making this “Boston Strong” hat. If you click here, you can learn more about the company if you are interested in seeing what they’re all about!

This is almost the color of the year! (the “it” color is emerald, this is a little brighter, but close enough for me!) Almost all of my jewelry in this post was gifted. The Jade bracelets back in high school came from a friend who went to China and brought them back for me. I get nervous they will break, so I am always careful with them, they are such a great color and awesome pieces to have in my collection! The necklace was gifted from a friend last year, and it is great too. It can really add a lot to a quiet outfit. Sometimes I wear it wrapped twice around my neck, as a shorter, thicker chain, and that looks good too. It is nice to have jewelry like this necklace that can be worn more than one way!

Thank you girls for the gifts! They are going to good use as you can see! 🙂

It’s almost May! The weather is finally starting to turn around and it’s getting warmer outside! I got this knit top on sale at Lucky a few years ago. I never wore it that much back then, but I seem to like and wear it more now then when I bought it! (Glad I never got rid of this one)! I am pretty good at getting rid of clothes I don’t wear anymore. I try to stick by a rule – if I haven’t worn something for an entire season, it is time to get rid of it!! Every now and then there are some items I cannot part with, but I try to think of it this way, “if I get rid of this, it makes room for something new”, which usually gives me the kick in the butt I need to move on! Nothing like a good winter clothing clean-out and getting out my summer clothes!

Thank you everyone for all the love this week, I had a lot of comments and “likes” this week. It made me feel really appreciated, and like I am really doing something good here. So thank you again to all of my followers and have a GREAT weekend!! 🙂

This is a bargain outfit! Almost everything I am wearing was purchased on clearance, sale, or was just really cheap! The top I had seen at Express and liked, especially the little back zipper! I had wanted to buy it at full price, but decided to wait to see if it would go on sale, and SO glad I did cause I got it for just $12.99! Pants were from Aeropostale last year, for just $18. My new Target heels, just $20 a few weeks ago. Glasses are kids, so they were only $5 at the Gap. Besides jewelry, that bring my entire outfit to a whopping $56.00! Just an everyday girl, finding everyday deals… they are out there if you are willing to look for them!!! 😉

Color Block trench coat and printed top

A trench coat can really add a little chic to any outfit. The outfit posted here is just a printed tee,  black skinny jeans and heels. On its own it’s a little dull, but throw this coat into the mix ad you have a simple solution to looking more stylish! This coat came from TJMaxx (by Cynthia Rowley) and was around $40. Not bad!

These are my new ankle strap sandals (love!). This style of sandal is very popular this year. If you don’t like to wear heels, the same style is also available in flats too (like here for just $16, that’s a good deal!), Or they make them in wedges too (like here)! The 2-tone like the links I shared are very popular too. Zara has a bunch of cute versions too that are decently priced, which I was looking into buying, but I still wanted a better deal, and I found these puppies! They were on clearance at Target last weekend for just $20! Can’t beat that! There are a lot of options out there, you don’t have to break the bank for this chic summer look.

“Brights” Out

Brights are showing up more and more as we move further through spring and closer to summer! Pastels and floral prints are good for spring, but bright pop colors are fun and trendy for summer, and they look awesome with a tan! I may be a little early on the vibrant colors, but I got a hint of summer on my recent vacation to Florida, and now I am even more eager for the warm summer weather! I feel like I look healthier with a tan too!

I Nabbed this top a few weeks ago from JCPenney, for just $15 (with a coupon) and I love the color! I always park at JCPenney when I go to the mall, so I walk through the store a lot, and stuff is constantly catching my eye. I can never get out without trying on at least one thing (and by 1 thing I mean 5)! Maybe I should consider parking somewhere else, but I get some good finds there, and you really can’t beat the prices!

Bohemian Rhapsody

This look is kind of Bohemian for me, but I like that one day I can look edgy, the next sporty, then round out my week with a nice bohemian look too. It is also nice to switch between skinny jeans and flares. I have a hard time trying to figure out which pant style I like better, both make me feel stylish! It is good to have that kind of variety in your closet!

I love this blouse, it is truly one of my favorite buys of the season!! It can be easily dressed up or dressed down depending on what I pair it with! I usually wear this TJMaxx find with my black skinny’s, but tried to change it u a little here with jeans and a dressier scarf and I think it worked! #Maxxinista right?!? Thanks for reading and have a nice Easter weekend!
